Commodity inspections
The commodity is inspected prior to shipment. This occurs either at the supplier’s premises or such other premises as may be specified. The inspection seeks to ensure that the commodity strictly conforms to the agreed specifications.

- Inspection and approval of ship holds to ensure suitable conditions for loading cargo
- Inspection and approval of hatch covers to ensure they are watertight
- Conducting initial and final draft survey to establish intake intaken weight/outturn weight
- Supervision throughout loading/discharging
- Sampling during entire loading and/or discharging operations and preparation of contractual samples
- Preparation of sub-lot samples and final composite samples
- Conducting analysis of sub-lot samples during loading and/or discharging operations
- Conducting analysis of final composite samples
- Checking packing and marking
- Random weight check of bags
- Damage assessment, if any
- Photographic reports
- Certification of quality, quantity and condition
