General Organization for Import and Export Control (GOEIC)
CIS is happy to announce the addition of the GOEIC VOC contract to their portfolio.
On 31st of May 2022 GOEIC has authorized CIS to test, inspect and verify conformity of all goods applicable to the GOEIC program which are intended to be shipped to the Arab Republic of Egypt as per EOS standards and/or international standards.
In May 2012 the Government of Egypt officially commenced their VOC program through Ministerial Decision 961/2012. The Ministerial Decision laid the requirements for Textile and Leather products to obtain a COC before arrival. In March 2016 the Government of Egypt issued Ministerial Decision 43/2016 which added numerous product types to the VOC program.
CIS is accredited to certify all product groups applicable to the GOEIC VOC program.
Upon completion of a successful verification of conformity, CIS issues a Certificate of Conformity (COC) which needs to be presented for custom clearance upon arrival at all entry points at the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The list of applicable commodites comprises:
- Food products
- Cosmetics and Hygiene products
- Kitchenware and Tableware
- Ceramic and Sanitaryware
- Electrical and electronic products
- Toys
- Textile, Footwear and Leather
